Through hands-on practice and group discussions, they will strengthen teamwork and develop their professional communication skills. 2.Activity Content: The workshop will be held from November 21 to 23 and November 25, 2025. Through bilingual learning, this program aims to enhance participants’ English proficiency in the field of medicinal botany. It integrates field excursions, ecological observation, and presentation sessions to strengthen both professional knowledge and English communication skills. The activity consists of five main components: (1) Bilingual Workshop on Medicinal Plant Knowledge (11/21) Through classroom instruction, participants will learn basic terminology related to medicinal plants and practice describing their characteristics, functions, and uses in English. The course also includes bilingual simulation exercises to help participants design foundational bilingual teaching materials and lesson plans. (2) Fenqihu Mihu Trail Bilingual Ecological Study (11/22) Participants will visit the Mihu Trail in Fenqihu, where they will engage in bilingual guided tours to learn about the scientific names, features, and pharmacological properties of medicinal plants. On-site observation and note-taking will help deepen their understanding of plant species. (3) Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum Bilingual Ecological Study (11/23) Participants will explore the ecological environment of the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum. They will learn English expressions related to plants and natural landscapes along the scenic trails, while gaining a better understanding of the plants’ habitats through direct observation. (4) Anping Old Street Ecological Study (11/23) Participants will visit Anping Old Street to study local herbal and medicinal plants, as well as ancient “longevity trees” found near historic sites. Field observation will allow them to further explore the growth patterns and ecological relationships of these plants. (5) English Presentation and Short Talk Training on Medicinal Plants (11/25) Participants will work in groups to deliver bilingual presentations, sharing their findings and reflections from the workshop.
