Organization
The College of Pharmacy includes the School of Pharmacy, the Department of Fragrance and Cosmetics, the Institute of Natural Medicine as well as Master’s & Ph.D. Programs in Toxicology.
Four teams, including Teaching, General Affairs, R&D, and International Affairs, have been established to implement and promote the administrative affairs of the college.
In addition, we have four academic research centers: the Research Center for Natural Products and Drug Development, the Center for Innovative Medical Biotechnology Research and Development, the Center for Health Economics and Policy Research, and the Substance and Behavior Addition Research Center.
Their research covers six major academic fields: Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacy, Social Pharmacy, Fragrance and Cosmetic Science, Natural Products, and Toxicology.
As of 2022, there are a total of 40 full-time instructors in the School of Pharmacy, all holding PhDs, including: 15 full-time professors, 14 associate professors, and 11 assistant professors. The faculty members are all driven to foster talent by cultivating professional, technological, and communication skills with the aim of deepening the core commitment of providing a vital social service.
Across our undergraduate programs, there are approximately 420 undergraduate students in the Department of Pharmacy and 240 in the Department of Fragrance and Cosmetics. With regards to our graduate school, there are about 180 candidates in the Master’s and PhD programs. All together, there are 840 students in the college.
Starting in 2019, the College of Pharmacy changed to a five-year program. It is estimated that the number of the new student enrollment will reach 950 or more by the year of 2023. As for our faculty staff, they consist of 13 special technicians; two contract academic staff; one administrative assistant. They all work together to ensure the operation of the school administration and development.
To enhance interdisciplinary teaching and research, the school has 49 part-time lecturers, 54 jointly appointed professors and 6 visiting professors. Furthermore, in response to growing demand for internships, we also have 84 contract preceptors.
